The ͬ³ÇÔ¼ÅÚwelcomes students from other countries and does not impose restrictions onthe number ofvisas per year. Immigration questions and education issues are dealt with bythe ͬ³ÇÔ¼ÅÚBorder Agency.

Visa application must besubmitted amonth before the start ofthe educational course. It’sbetter tocompletetwo months ahead ofdeadline.

Inthe process you will require:

• Aninvitation letter from the educational institution
• Medical certificate
• Documents confirming stable financial condition, diplomas and education certificates
• Passport, 2photos 3.5 * 4.5cm
• Biometrics

Visa categories iftraining intheͬ³ÇÔ¼ÅÚ does not last more than 6months:

• Children’s visitor visa (upto17years)
• Student Visitor Visa (from 18years)

Visas for longer training courses are issued only for schools, colleges oruniversities that are listed inthe registry ofthe border control service:

• Children’s student visa Tier4 (Child) student visa (from 4to17years)
• Anadult student visa Tier4 (General) student visa— from 16years

Staying intheͬ³ÇÔ¼ÅÚ onastudent visa either does not give you the right towork, ormay permit work for alimited number ofhours per week. Itisrecommended tocarefully plan your financial budget asadditional funding will bedifficult.

The Tier1 (Graduate Entrepreneur)

Category isfor graduates who have been identified byͬ³ÇÔ¼ÅÚ higher education institutions ashaving developed world class innovative ideas orentrepreneurial skills toextend their stay intheͬ³ÇÔ¼ÅÚ after graduation toestablish one ormore businesses inthe ͬ³ÇÔ¼ÅÚ. ‘Business’ here means anenterprise asasole trader; partnership; orcompany registered inthe ͬ³ÇÔ¼ÅÚ. Tier 1 Investor

The Tier1 (Investor) visa category applies tothe main applicant and all immediate family members, including spouse and children under the age of18. Initially, investor visa isgranted for three years and four months and can then beextended for another two years, byproviding evidence that aninvestment ofatleast £2million was made inthe ͬ³ÇÔ¼ÅÚ. There isnorequirement todemonstrate English language ability.
